Becoming Catholic

It begins with an awareness.… or stirring in one’s heart for something more? It could be a curiosity or a sense of longing for fulfillment.  Maybe it’s God calling you to explore the life of faith, love and justice within the community of the Catholic Church.

The formal name of this exploration is: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

It is a special time set aside to look within, at your own life story, experiences of sacred and profound moments, encounters of God and see connections to, or needs for the gospel story of Jesus Christ through the Catholic Faith. We present our full Catholic Tradition in a way that is personal and building of community relationships.

What If I Am Already Baptized?

RCIA welcomes men, women and children, who are validly-baptized Christians (but not Roman Catholic), into full communion with the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

What If I Am Not Already Baptized?

RCIA welcomes men, women and children aged 8 or older into full communion with the Catholic Church through a formation process and the celebration of the sacraments of Christian Initiation (Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).

Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA) News

On the  3rd, 4th and 5th Sundays of Lent, the Church celebrates the scrutinies for the unbaptized elect. These prayers of exorcism are meant to uncover and then heal all that is weak, defective or sinful in the hearts of the elect, Kevin and Samantha.  Please pray for them.
